Week 3 Review (AFC South)

Mathis shows Romo the door
(2-0) Jacksonville Jaguars @ Baltimore Ravens (0-2)

Sitting atop the AFC South with a record of 2-0 coming into this week 3 match-up against the Baltimore Ravens, Caleb Brenton and company were feeling confident in Baltimore this week. Though Brenton had one of his better games so far this season (2 TDs, 1 INT), that wasn't the spotlight for the Jaguars this week as their defense stepped it up a notch. Pressuring the quarterback came with it's advantages this week with Ravens' quarterback, Tony Romo throwing a total of 4 interceptions. Brenton and the Jaguars were able to squeeze out a 20-3 win over the boys in purple as they go into their bye week still atop the AFC South.

Top Performers

HB (JAX) - Maurice Jones-Drew - 18 Carries, 94 Yards (5.2 Avg), 4 Fumbles

Is A Shake-Up In Order?
(0-2) Houston Texans vs Indianapolis Colts (1-1)

Playing their 2nd divisional game in three weeks, the Houston Texans continue to look for their first win as they hosted the Indianapolis Colts this week. For the first time this season the Texans' offensive line was successful in keeping Schaub upright but even that didn't seem to change how the offense executed. Schaub was able to find Foster in the end-zone for his only TD pass on the night, but Colt's quarterback Andrew Luck had the answer for that as he was able to find Jennings twice for the score. Rookie Cornerback, Randy Butler was able to record his first multi-interception game but it wasn't enough for the Texans as they drop their third straight by a score of 41-27.

Top Performers

QB (IND) - Andrew Luck - 14/23, 291 Yards, 4 Touchdowns, 3 Interceptions
HB (IND) - Delone Carter - 10 Carries, 51 Yards (5.1 Avg)

WR (IND) - T.Y. Hilton - 2 Receptions, 87 Yards, 1 Touchdown
FS (IND) - Antoine Bethea - 4 Tackles, 1 Interception

HB (HOU) - Adrian Foster - 20 Carries, 66 Yards (3.3 Avg) - 6 Receptions, 84 Yards, 1 Touchdown
FS (HOU) - Danieal Manning - 6 Tackles
CB (HOU) - Randy Butler - 3 Tackles, 2 Interceptions
ROLB (HOU) - Connor Barwin - 3 Tackles, 2 Sacks

(0-3) / Next Week: @ Tennessee Titans (0-3)

(2-1) / Next Week: Vs Carolina Panthers (3-0)

Has Tebow Time Already Run Out?
(0-2) Tennessee Titans @ Cincinnati Bengals (1-1)

Titan's Quarterback, Jake Locker saw less time on the field than he is used to. The Nature Boy, Tim Tebow was given the majority of the snaps this week as the Titans looked for their first win of the season. Unfortunately the Bengals defense had something to say about that this week as they ripped apart the Titans offense piece by piece. Locker and Tebow were taken down a total of 12 times and picked off a total of 10 as the Titans find themselves alongside the struggling Houston Texans winless in the AFC South with the Bengals coming up with a 48-7 victory.

Top Performers

TE (TEN) - Craig Stevens - 1 Reception, 52 Yards, 1 Touchdown
FS (TEN) - Robert Johnson - 2 Tackles, 1 Interception
